Resources for Daily Life Practice

Meditation Groups

“Good friends are the whole of the spiritual life.” (SN 45.2)

One of the deepest resources for a life of practice is community. In addition to the weekly and monthly drop-in groups offered by Spirit Rock, many of our teachers and Community Dharma Leaders have regular sitting groups, both in-person and online. Regular attendance at a meditation group can be one of the most fulfilling parts of your schedule—a place to meet Dharma friends, connect in an ongoing way with a teacher, and deepen your practice in daily life.

Our friends at Buddhist Insight Network maintain a list of Insight Meditation groups worldwide, including the home groups of many Spirit Rock teachers.

Our peer group program, Kalyāṇa Mitta (spiritual friendship), also continues, with many groups meeting online.

Dharma Library

Supporting students in our Institute programs and dedicated practitioners worldwide, our new online Dharma Library offers audio, video, articles, and courses from our 30-year archive of teachings, as well as newly-recorded material designed specifically for self-paced study and practice.

Self-paced online courses, available on demand, are an integral part of Dharma Institute programming, making foundational teachings accessible worldwide, 24/7. Our courses feature a diverse range of Spirit Rock teachers, including Mark Coleman, Nikki Mirghafori, Dawn Mauricio, James Baraz, and more.

We are continually adding to our on-demand library, and have courses to support practitioners of all levels to deepen in meditation, study, and integration of wisdom and lovingkindness into every part of life.

Resources for Financial Support

Spirit Rock is committed to offering financial assistance to those who need it. We do not want cost to be an obstacle for participation in our programs. If you cannot attend a program due to cost, we strongly encourage you to select a scholarship rate, when available. Spirit Rock highly values diversity. We particularly invite those who require financial support that are in the following groups to select a scholarship rate: Black, Indigenous and/or People of Color (BIPOC), young adults (18-26), elders (65+) with limited/fixed incomes, and those with life threatening illnesses.
